Kiranmayee Madupu is recognized as one of the promising upcoming young talents in the Vazhuvoor style of the Indian Classical Dance form called Bharatanatyam. She received her training from the renowned Bharatanatyam Exponent and Guru Smt. Hemamalini Arni, who not only bears the rich and traditional fundamentals from her Stalwart Gurus (Padmabhushan Awardee) Smt. T. Balasaraswati and (Padmashri Awardee) Sri Vazhuvoor Ramaih Pillai, but has also carved her niche style owing to decades of experience in teaching and choreography.
As professed by her Guru Smt. Arni, Kiranmayee has developed a balanced approach to Bharatanatyam encompassing lilting, fast paced, intricate style of Nritta (Pure Dance) which is customary of the Vazhuvoor School and a mature, soulful presentation of Abhinaya with deep roots in the styles inspired by the unsurpassed Balasaraswati and her own Guru Smt. Arni.
Kiranmayee has an active performing career that allows her reach to audience across the country. She has been training in this art form for over 13 years and has an illustrious performing career that includes major venues in the cultural hubs of India.
Passionate about various other art forms like music, painting, writing and of course dancing, Kiranmayee believes that it is with the medium of dance that she can express herself and all her facets in the most abstract yet truest form.
