Rithvik Raja (born March 9, 1989) is a Carnatic Musician (South Indian Classical Music) from India. He has performed in many concerts in India and overseas and has won many awards for his excellence. He is currently one of the rising stars of Carnatic Music. He believes that Carnatic Music is one of the most important forms of Classical Music in the world and that it's awareness should be spread.
Rithvik was initiated into Carnatic Music at the age of 4 by his mother Smt. Sudha Raja under whom he learnt for 7 years. Having acquired a solid
understanding and a strong foundation on the basics of Carnatic Music, he subsequently learnt from Smt. Sulochana Pattabhiraman for another 2 years to sharpen his skills. Since 2003, his advanced training under the guidance of Sri TM Krishna has helped him blossom into a fine young musician.
Rithvik is one of the leading young faces of Carnatic Music today. Sound training has taught him the importance of adherence to values in Carnatic Music which helps him present the art in its pure and classical form. His music is fresh, youthful and vibrant with a natural flair. With a uniquiely endowed voice, his straight forward approach and sincerity reflect in his performances which are showcased with faithful and bhava laden rendering of Kirtanas punctuated with abundant Manodharma.
