Experience Summary
JOINING ISSAI MAZHALAI GROUP OF SHRI ABASWARAM RAMJHI

At this juncture, destiny guided Visveshwar, through their family friend Smt Sesha Kalyanaraman of Nanganallur, into the safe hands of Shri Abaswaram Ramjhi. This paved the way for Visveshwar to join a large pool of highly talented young artists. Shri Abaswaram Ramjhi’s “Issai Mazhalai” (Music Infants) is the first professional music group, comprising of only school children, in the whole of the country. Through his tireless and selfless efforts, Shri Ramjhi secures opportunities to the children in Issai Mazhalai team. Thanks to Shri Ramjhi, Visveshwar has played in some of the Sabhas in the city and Shankukhananda Sabha, Bombay at this tender age with the accompaniment of similarly talented children on violin, mridangam and ghatam. By end middle of February 2011 Visveshwar has performed on more than 325 stages.

Flute vidwan Dr N.Ramani, who inaugurated the Balabruhmam programme in Jaya TV in 2008, commented after listening to Visveshwar, as under

“I have not seen my guru Flute maestro Mali playing in his childhood. I now think Flute Mali would have played like Visveshwar, in his childhood.”
- A great tribute, from the legendary vidwan, indeed.
